A death investigation is underway after two bodies were found in New Philadelphia Tuesday morning.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the bodies of two individuals were found in a wooded area along Ferndale Road in New Philadelphia approximately 1 mile from Route 209. The bodies were found around 3:25am.
Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene around 6:00am by the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office.
State Police say the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when it becomes available.
State Police have not connected the two incidents, but two individuals were reported missing from New Philadelphia on Sunday and Monday.
