The mothers of two New Philadelphia men that were killed in October are planning a protest at the Schuylkill County Courthouse on Friday.
The mothers are asking for justice for their sons, 18-year-old Hunter Mock and 16-year-old Angel Caraballo who were killed on October 10th, 2023. Their bodies were found in a wooded area along Ferndale Road in New Philadelphia approximately 1 mile from Route 209. Both of their deaths were ruled as homicide.
Lamour Branch, 19, of Port Carbon, is allegedly connected to their deaths, and was taken into custody for a separate incident shortly after the murders. Court documents showed that his property was searched by investigators in relation to the deaths.
On November 20th, 2023, Branch was released from prison after posting a reduced bail for the separate charges. As of November 30th, 2023, no charges have been filed against Branch or anyone else for the murders.
Friday's protest is scheduled to take place in Pottsville between the Schuylkill County Courthouse and the Schuylkill County Prison from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
