Our beloved Virginia Bokunewicz, 88 of Shenandoah was called home on Saturday, October 28th, 2023. She now resides in the loving arms of her husband Stanley and her granddaughter Alexis who preceded her, and in the company of other family and friends who passed before.

Virginia was born Virginia Ross in Lost Creek, PA to Dolores and James Ross, she is a tough survivor having beaten rheumatic fever at a young age, eventually walking away from a horrific accident, and major heart surgery. Virginia was employed most recently until her retirement at the Shenandoah manor as the manager of the laundry.

She is survived by her children Steven Bokunewicz (Husband of Jen) and Colleen Moyer; her sister Nancy Avenoso; Brother, James Ross; Grandchildren Keith Aftuk (Husband of Cindy), Kyla Kaczerski (wife of Ted) and Leslie Croft (wife of Charles); Great grandchildren Amaya and Emma Aftuk, Griffin, Gavin, and Grady Kaczerski, Tessa and Tanner Croft.

Our family has lost the most patient and supportive mom, gran and great granny. Her life was very simply lived but her heart was filled with so much love and compassion for her loved ones nothing could ever compare. Family was the most precious thing to our mom and gran. This is the memories we her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will forever hold dear in our hearts. She is now in the loving arms of her "Bucky", her husband of 69 years. Also your granddaughter Alexis. They will forever be together in the house of our Lord. Fly high mom, we will miss you and forever keep you in our hearts until the day we meet again.
