A contractor from Lebanon County has been charged in Schuylkill County with home improvement fraud.
According to St. Clair Police, Benjamin Rodriguez, 36, of Lebanon was charged on December 20th, 2023 for taking money for a contracting job that he never completed.
Police say Rodriguez, doing business as Blue Collar Construction and Communications LLC, took $10,128.59 on March 9th, 2023, for a job on Howard Street that was to be completed by September 2023.
As of December 20th, 2023, no work had been started.
St. Clair Police charged Rodriguez with felony Receiving advance payment for service and fails to perform. The homeowner has also filed a civil suit for the money paid.
Rodriguez is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge David Plachko on February 6th, 2024 for a preliminary hearing.
