hroughout her coaching journey, Currie collaborated with esteemed mentors like Doc Fallabel and numerous accomplished alumni, collectively steering the team to numerous League, District, and State Championships.

Aside from her coaching prowess, Maria is a proud parent to Julius, a current senior at Marian, and JoElle, a seventh-grader at SJRS. Her personal investment in the Marian community extends beyond the court, reflecting a deep commitment to the holistic development of the students.

"I not only focus on creating a team to win but in shaping young adults in their physical, mental, and spiritual health and well-being," expressed Coach Currie. Thrilled about the opportunity, she added, "It was exciting to meet the team and to see some familiar faces. Marian Catholic Volleyball has always been a big family on and off the court, and I’m excited to bring the traditions back. We’re ready to hit the ground running."
