Nearly 1,000 homes in Schuylkill County are in the dark as of 5:20pm Tuesday.
As winds pickup up, first responders and PPL crews are busy dealing with downed trees, utility poles, and wires.
As a result, numerous power outages have been reported around Schuylkill County.
The majority of the outages are in Schuylkill Township (392 outages) and West Mahanoy Township (390 outages).
Smaller outages are being reported in:
- Girardville
- East Union Township
- Eldred Township
- Frailey Township
- Kline Township
- Pine Grove Township
- Porter Township
- South Manheim Township
- Tremont
- Union Township
As of 5:20pm, PPL was reporting 967 homes without power. The estimated time for these repairs are by 1:00am.
