Speed Limits Reduced on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County Due to Weather Conditions

PennDOT has reduced the speed limits on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County due to weather conditions.

As of 4:15pm, Tuesday, the speed limits on Interstate 81 northbound and southbound between the McAdoo Exit and Pine Grove Exit have been reduced to 55 miles per hour.

The updated speed limits have been posted in Schuylkill County on variable speed limit signs.  Commercial vehicles are also restricted to the right lane in this area.

The areas of the Interstate near the Tremont and Ravine Exits are reported to be icy Tuesday morning.  Traffic is creeping through this area due to slick roadways.
