Two people were injured in a crash involving a tractor trailer in Pine Grove Township early Wednesday morning.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Jonestown, the crash occurred just before 2:00am in the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 at mile marker 99.7 just before the Pine Grove exit.
Troopers say a tractor trailer, driven by Otto Owens, 88, of Springfield, Missouri was traveling north when it struck a guide rail on the right side of the way on a left hand curve. The truck travelled through the guide rail and overturned down an embankment.
Both Owens and his passenger, Edna Ghulam, 52, of Lombard, Illinois were wearing their seatbelts and were reported to have suffered minor injuries.
Both were transported to Hershey Medical Center by Tremont and Pine Grove ambulances
