Man and Woman Face Aggravated Cruelty to Animal Charges in Williamstown

Pennsylvania State Police have filed charges against a man and woman for animal cruelty in Williamstown.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Lykens, on February 1st, 2024, around 10:45am, troopers were notified that the bodies of two pit bull mixes were recovered deceased in Williamstown.  It was learned that the animals were neglected, and it contributed to the death of both animals.

Chyna McCrary, 41, and Andrew Welsh, 32, both of Etters were taken into custody on Friday by Trooper Derek Flail.

Trooper Flail charged both with 2 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and neglect of animals by not providing food and water.

Both were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Rebecca Jo Margerum and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
