UPDATE: New Jersey Man Killed in Berks County Truck Stop Shooting

The Pennsylvania State Police at Hamburg have provided an update on the homicide investigation at a Berks County Truck Stop.

According to a release from the Hamburg Barracks, the incident occurred in a back parking lot area of the Love's Travel Stop, located at 3700 Mountain Road, in Upper Bern Township, just off of Interstate 78.

The investigation found that an argument occurred between two males, one of them being James Alexander Hilton, 40, of South Hampton, New Jersey.

The argument escalated with the suspect shooting and killing Hilton.  The shooter then fled the scene in his truck.

A description of the suspect's truck was given to law enforcement where the Pennsylvania State Police from Fogelsville located it at the Interstate 78 westbound exit 45 ramp in Lehigh County.  Police followed and a traffic stop was conducted in the area of exit 40 where the suspect was taken into custody around 3:30am.

As of this posting, State Police have not identified the shooter.
