Motorcycle Rider Flown to Hospital After Collision in Southern Schuylkill County

A motorcycle rider was flown after a crash in East Brunswick Township on Sunday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred around 2:00pm on Hawk Mountain Road just east of Mountain Road.

Troopers say Zachary Bodolous, 18, of Douglassville, was traveling east on Hawk Mountain Road on a Harley Davidson, while Kelby Sivek, 28, of West Chester was traveling west in a Toyota Tacoma.

Bodolous reportedly was navigating a right curve when he failed to stay in his lane.  He would lay the motorcycle over onto its right side sliding into the path of Sivek striking the front end of the pickup truck.

Bodolous sustained serious injuries in the crash and was flown to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest. His motorcycle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene.  Bodolus was wearing a helmet.

Sivek and his passenger were not injured, and her vehicle was driven from the scene.
