Schuylkill County Career Fair Empowers High School Students to Explore Future Paths

High school students from across Schuylkill County gathered at Pottsville Area's Martz Hall on Thursday for the 14th Annual Schuylkill County Career Fair.

Hosted by the Northeast PA Manufacturers and Employers Council, Inc., the event was attended by over 900 students from grades 7 through 12 representing 11 school districts.

The atmosphere of Martz Hall buzzed with curiosity as students met with over 50 organizations, gathering information on potential career paths.

For many students, the event allowed them to get the information they needed to make a final decision.

We spoke with a group of students from Williams Valley that stated they were undecided before the event but after speaking with several representatives, they knew what they wanted to do after high school.

Schools that participated in the event included:
  • Minersville Area
  • North Schuylkill
  • Pine Grove
  • Pottsville
  • Schuylkill Intermediate Unit
  • Williams Valley
  • Shenandoah Valley
  • Schuylkill Haven
  • Tamaqua
  • Blue Mountain
  • Gillingham Charter
  • Schuylkill Technology
