GPS Hospitality Awards $3,000 in Burger King Foundation Scholarships to Schuylkill Haven High School Graduates


GPS Hospitality, a rapidly growing franchisee with nearly 400 Burger King restaurants, is pleased to announce it will award the Burger King Foundation scholarships to 270 students in 10 states this graduation season. Out of that total, 3 Schuylkill Haven Area Seniors received the scholarship.

Tamaqua Area Senior Chosen to Participate in All-Eastern Honors Choral Festival



The Tamaqua Senior High School Vocal Music Department has announced that David Hull, a senior, was selected to participate in the 2021 All-Eastern Honors Choral festival. 

Shenandoah Valley Drama Club to Present "A Night of Dream Roles: A Music Video Production"


This weekend, the Shenandoah Valley Drama Club will present a non-traditional production of their yearly performance.

Marian Catholic High School FBLA Members Compete in Virtual State Leadership Conference



Marian Catholic High School’s Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competed in the 2021 Pennsylvania State Leadership Virtual Conference. Marian Catholic had 13 students qualify for the SLC as a result of the Region 23 Conference held in December.

Schuylkill Technology Center Student Signs Letter of Intent for Thaddeus Stevens College


On Monday, April 12, 2021 Schuylkill Technology Center's Assistant Vocational Director, Stacey Minahan (2nd Row- Left) and Precision Machining Instructor, Fred Cicero (Second Row Right) joined STC Precision Machining student Adam Stock of Pottsville School District and his parents Nicole and Edward Stock in Adam's signing his Letter of Intent to enroll in Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and to play football for Thaddeus Stevens.
