Scott Aaron Motley, age 30, of Pine Grove, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 30th, 2024 at his home.

Born in Pottsville, PA on October 17, 1993, he was the son of the late Wiliam Brian Motley and Helene May (Houseberg) Motley, who survives him in Pottsville.

Scott was a graduate of New Story High School, Class of 2011 in Reading He loved music, doing puzzles, making bubbles and most of all eating.

He was preceded in death by a brother Josh Daniel Shaurer in 2008.

In addition to his mother, Scott is survived by a brother Thomas Motley, Prospect Park, PA; a niece Margo Motley, Prospect Park, PA; and three aunts: Charolette Costa, Lancaster, PA Denise Motley, Pottsville, PA, and Donna Motley, Middletown, DE.

Funeral Services will be held private.

The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home in Port Carbon is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra Lee Angeny
, 68, of Tremont, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, April 4, 2024.

Sandy was born in Pottsville on April 27, 1955 to the late George and Miriam Ney Eisenhauer. With a large family of brothers and sisters, she was the twin sister on Sonia E Sherman, who she is survived by, and the sister of the late Kenneth Eisnehauer, Edward Eisenhauer, Mary Jane Morgan, Diane E Bressler, Donna Mae Ohmacht, and Rose Eisenhuer.

Sandy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed time with her family and friends whether it was going to bingo, playing cards, shopping, or going out to eat. She enjoyed being out and about and creating lasting memories. Sandy had a creative hand at decorating and making crafts. She cooked an amazing chicken noodle soup that everyone looked forward to at any of the parties she was hosting. In later years, she enjoyed coloring, drawing, watching Heartland, and drinking her Coca-Cola.

Surviving in addition to her twin sister are her son, Dwayne Angeny and her daughter, Heather Angeny and son in law Rick O’leary. She had six grandchildren - Victoria Angeny, Haley Angeny, Julia Angeny, Alexis Brown and Aiden and Isla O’leary. As well as her aunt and uncle and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

May you rest in peace knowing that you are loved dearly and will be missed by many. We love you mom!

Services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 12:30 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Amanda Bressler officiating. Visitation will be form 11:30-12:30 at the chapel.

Linda M. Hatter
, 67, of Donaldson, passed away very unexpectedly early Thursday morning, April 4, 2024, at her home.

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, February 21, 1957, a daughter of the late Richard and Lucille Hetu Horan. Linda was a graduate of William Tolman High School in Pawtucket. She was raised in the Catholic faith.

She recently retired in December from Hollywood Casino where she worked as a slot attendant for the past 16 years.

She could often be found antiquing with her sister, doing crafts, or working in her flower beds and ponds. She took great pride in the upkeep of her home. Linda will be remembered as a phenomenal baker and cook who was always excited to feed others. Above all else, Linda will be remembered for her love and pride for her family. Her children and granddaughter meant the world to her. She made a lifetime of memories during her trips to the beach with those closest to her.

She was affectionately known as "Momma Hatter" to family and friends. You could always count on Linda to be there for you with a lending ear and words of encouragement.

In addition to her her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, David "Prune" Hatter on October 30, 2020.

Surviving are her three children, David R. Hatter, Donaldson, Denise M. Erickson, Harrisburg, and Daniel M. Hatter and his wife Andrea, Jonestown; her beloved granddaughter, Ava Erickson; a sister, Kathleen Koperna and her husband Richard, Pine Grove; brothers, Richard Horan and his wife Darlene, Seekonk, MA, Steven Horan, Sr. and his wife Tish, Pawtucket, RI, Timothy Horan and his significant other, Susan of Holliston, MA; cousin Jospeh Corriea and his wife, Nora, Danby, VT; brother-in-law, Merwin "Bud" Hatter, Donaldson; numerous nieces and nephews

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. Viewing will be from 10-11 am at the chapel. Linda will be laid to rest privately in the Donaldson Cemetery beside her beloved husband whom she dearly missed.
