Criminal Mischief Investigation in New Castle Township

NEW CASTLE TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on March 24th, 2024, a group of suspects spray painted a truck crossing sign on Reading Anthracite Property on Darkwater Road.

Theft Investigation in Rush Township

RUSH TOWNSHIP - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on March 26th, 2024, their barracks received a report of a theft on Mahanoy Avenue.

The victim reported a bed and dresser set where stolen, valued at over $7,000.

PFA Violation in New Philadelphia

NEW PHILADELPHIA - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on March 26th, 2024, troopers responded to Valley Street for a report of a PFA Violation.

An arrest warrant was issued and on April 3rd, 2024, he was taken into custody on a violation of PFA order charge.

He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

Man Faces DUI and Fleeing Police Charges in Shenandoah

SHENANDOAH - According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on March 30th, 2024,  State Police pursued a Polaris RZR Turbo starting on East Mount Vernon Street and North Carbon Street in Shenandoah.

The driver, identified as Samuel Rodriguez-Ramos, 51, of Towanda fled causing a crash.  It would later be determined that Rodriguez-Ramos was also driving under the influence.

Rodriguez-Ramos was taken into custody and arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Andrew Serina on charges of fleeing and eluding police, driving under the influence, and careless driving.

 Rodriguez-Ramos spent one night in Schuylkill County Prison before posting 10% of his $10,000 bail and was released.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled before Judge Anthony Kilker in Shenandoah on April 25th, 2024.
