Schuylkill Technology Center Teacher Named Hawk Mountain Council BSA Educator of the Year


The Hawk Mountain Council BSA named Bill Mack, a Social Studies Instructor at the Schuylkill Technology Center North Campus, as the 2024 Elbert K. Fretwell Educator of the Year at an Award at breakfast held at the STC North Campus on April 26, 2024. 

 “Mr. Mack was chosen for his exceptional teaching skills, ability to foster leadership skills in his students and his tireless community service,” said Shannon Brennan, STC Director.

Bill Mack holds a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and master’s degree from Bloomsburg University and is currently pursuing his Principal’s Certification from Alvernia University. He began his teaching career sixteen years ago at North Schuylkill School District and most recently at Schuylkill Technology Center. He has served as the District President and then District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the Pennsylvania Elks Association as well as leadership roles for the Protective Order of Elks, Number 1533 and continues to serve as the STC SkillsUSA Advisor. He and his wife Holly are the proud parents of daughter Laynie.
