Inaugural Basketball Community Day Brings Fun and Games to Frackville's Arch Street Park



On Friday, Frackville's Arch Street Park the site of the inaugural Basketball Community Day, an event aimed at fostering community spirit through sports.
Organized by North Schuylkill Boys Basketball Head Coach William Bracey, with assistance from his coaching team and players, the Community Hoops event also saw participation from Shenandoah Valley Boys Basketball Head Coach Josh Dombrosky and several of his players.

The day was packed with activities for all ages, featuring a dunk tank, a bounce house, obstacle course, and open basketball courts where attendees could play alongside some of the top local players. Highlights included a free throw contest and an electrifying dunk contest.

Sponsored by Outten Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Tamaqua, the event was free for all participants.

Coach Bracey expressed his joy at the event's success, saying, "It was so wholesome to watch kids just play, have fun, shoot basketballs, and be worry-free in a safe environment. You have to plant your feet in the community and grow if you want it to thrive. Let's keep growing together!"
