As of 4:30pm, Wednesday, Route 61 northbound is closed near Deer Lake for a motor vehicle accident.
Around 4:20pm, emergency personnel were called to the area of the intersection of Route 61 and Summer Valley Road in West Brunswick Township for a motor vehicle accident with high mechanism. The crash reportedly involved a pickup truck on its roof.
The victim was reported to be trapped in the vehicle and had a severe hand injury.
A medical helicopter has been requested to land near the accident right on Route 61.
Northbound lanes have been closed due to the accident.
