Jean Ann Perchik, 78, of Coaldale, died on Friday, May 16, 2025, at her residence.She was a daughter of the late John and Ann (Trynosky) Perchik. A 1965 graduate of Panther Valley High School, she worked as a seamstress in several local garment factories. Raised in the Catholic faith, Jean Ann was a nice person and good neighbor with the kind heart of a child. She especially looked forward to Friday night pizza parties with her friends and neighbors.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, John Perchik.
A prayer service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with Deacon Edward Girard officiating.
Interment in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church Cemetery, Nesquehoning will follow. Memorials in Jean Ann’s name may be made to the Coaldale Fire Company, 121 W High St, Coaldale, PA 18218.
Arrangements are being handled by the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Tamaqua.
Thomas M. Krammes Sr., 86, formerly of Pine Grove passed away on Sunday while at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.
Born in Pine Grove, April 14, 1939, he was the son of the late Arthur and Bessie Krause Krammes.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Church in Pine Grove.
Thomas enjoyed watching sports and supported all the Philadelphia Teams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Anna Mae Brobst who passed away in 2004. He is also preceded by his daughter Theresa, two daughters-in-law, Lori Brobst and Michelle Krammes. He is also preceded in death by siblings; Robert, Clarence, Allen, Arthur, Edward, Floyd, Eva, Dorthea, and Mirerva.
Thomas is survived by sons, Kevin Brobst of Minersville, Thomas Krammes, Jr. of Frackville, Lamar Krammes of Minersville and daughter Eleanor Krammes of Frackville. He is also survived by his brother William and four grandchildren and a great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12:00 Noon at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 11:00 until the time of services. Interment will follow on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
James W. Schaeffer, 90, formerly of Pine Grove passed away on Friday, May 16th while at Seton Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Lincoln, PA, on September 9, 1934, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna Bradigan Schaeffer.
James was the owner and operator of BJ Trucking in Pine Grove.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine “Honey” Schaeffer who passed away in 2022. He is also preceded in death by his daughter Sheree Schaeffer Minnich and his brother Claude who passed in 2020.
James is survived by his daughter Cheryl Heffner wife of Leo, and James W. Scheffer Jr., husband of Melanie. He is also survived by grandchildren, Cody, Jesse, Samantha Schaeffer and Shane and Justin Minnich, and great grandchildren Chase, Victoria, Isabella, Matix, Dylan and Hudson.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23 at 12:00 Noon. A viewing will be held from 10:30 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will follow on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
David J. Boppel Sr., 75, of Ashland passed away Monday morning May 19th at home.
