John Tellup
, 91, of Cressona, got his dying wish of passing away at home on May 21, 2025.

Born in St. Clair, May 8, 1934, He was a son of the late John and Anna (Seamon) Tellup.

He served in the US Army.

He was a Machine Operator at Exxon Chemicals, Marlin. Retired after 24 years.

He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven; Lifetime member of Arnots Game and Sports Association, St. Clair; Lifetime member of Beckville Gun Club. He also dedicated over 25 years to the Catholic Youth Organization as a coach and administrator.

Surviving are his wife Elizabeth (Felsburg) Tellup; 3 sons John Tellup and his wife Ingrid of Tuscon, AZ; Michael Tellup of New York City, Joseph Tellup and his wife Tish of Potttsville; 2 daughters Mary Bendetti and her husband Robert of GA; daughter Annie Ellex and her husband Edward of Schuylkill Haven; sister Constance Nier of NC; 9 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchidren; Niece and Nephews.

John made wine for over 54 years and enjoyed sharing it. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards at the club, traveling, cooking and woodworking. He enjoyed life and lived to eat. He looked forward to his annual birthday meal at Shady Maple. He was a lifelong Dodgers fan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1030 AM Tuesday May 27, 2025 from St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 201 Randel St Schuylkill Haven Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik will be officiating. Friends may call from 9:15 PM – 10:15 PM Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl. Mempis TN 38105 or St. Ambrose Memorial Fund at the above address. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.

Marguerite (Galbreath) Schreffler
, 82 years of age formerly of West Penn Township Tamaqua passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, as a guest of Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lehighton, Pennsylvania.

Born Saturday, January 16, 1943 in Manheim, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Clayton and Dorothy (Flory) Galbreath. Marguerite was also predeceased by; beloved husband of 58 years Warren Schreffler; son, Gary R. Schreffler; sister, Shirley Galbreath; brothers, Stanley and Robert Galbreath.

Surviving are daughter, Kim Blank and her fiancée Ted Engle; brothers, Nevin Galbreath and his friend Monica, Donald Galbreath and his wife Sandy; grandchild, Kyle Schmoyer and girlfriend Alyssa.

A member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tamaqua, Marguerite retired from the former J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills having worked there 28 years. Marguerite was a talented baker, enjoyed bowling on various ladies teams and roller skating with her husband Warren at various rinks in the Lancaster area.

Nancy A. Nunemacher R.N.
, beloved mother, gram, gigi, sister, 89 years of age of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Born Monday, February 17, 1936 in Tamaqua the daughter of the late Robert Curtis Knepper Sr. and Alma E. (Tuckett) Knepper. Nancy was also predeceased by; brother, Robert C. Knepper Jr.; great grandsons Christopher Flores, Jordan Michael Smith; grandson-in-law, Nick Kalchick.

Surviving are daughters, Terry Jo Matula and her fiancée Brian Furedi, Patti A. Gregory with whom she resided both of Tamaqua; sisters, Alma R. "Suzie" Herring, Jean Purcel; grandchildren, Angela Kalchick and her fiancée Jason Benner, Michelle Perhonitch and her husband Nick, Jeremy Gregory; 8 great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive Nancy.

A Tamaqua High School graduate, Nancy earned her R.N. from the Reading School of Nursing and retired from the former Coaldale State Hospital and St. Luke's Miners Memorial after 40 plus years of service. A devout member of St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua, Nancy was awarded St. Johns highest award being bestowed the title of Elder Emeritus. Nancy also worked with the kitchen crew of the church catering church and community events, and was a member of the Hometown Senior Citizens.

A visitation will occur on Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 5 to 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Services Wednesday May 28, 2025 11 o'clock A.M. St. John U.C.C. 150 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. Friends will also be received on the morning of services in church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services, Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy to officiate.

Margaret A. Rumberger
passed away peacefully on Tuesday home surrounded by her family.

Born in Branchdale, she was the daughter of the later Nicholas and Margaret Kilraine Kostichak..

She was a graduate of the former Cass Twp. High school and a member of

STS Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Minersville. She was a retired garment worker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Rumberger in 2017; a son Richard Rumberger Sr. and a granddaughter Cierra Gradwell.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Margaret Gradwell and her husband Joseph, Carrie Brown and her husband Steve and Patricia Burns and her husband Vaughn; 2 sons, Robert Rumberger Jr. and Gary Rumberger and his wife Stacy Jo; 41 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning form 8AM until 9:30 AM at the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville. Divine Liturgy will be Saturday morning at 10AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 4th St., Minersville. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Llewellyn.

Mark M. Soellner
, 66, of Wayne Township passed away peacefully at home on Thursday.

Born in Pottsville, January 16, 1959, he was the son of the late Wayne and Helen Foran Soellner.

Mark was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School / Schuylkill Techology Center in 1977. He worked at Royal Green LLC in Temple as a crane operator for forty-one years.

Mark was a member of the North Ward and Landingville Fire Companies. He enjoyed playing riding his Harley, playing pool, and cornhole.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, the former Claudia Bright.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his step-children; Rayman H. Dampman Jr. husband to Michelle A. of Northumberland, Jason A. Dampman husband to Sherry L. of Coal Township, Neil W. Dampman, husband to Heather L. of Schuylkill Haven, and Wendy E. Dampman of Valrico, FL. He also survived by his siblings; Brian Soellner husband to Johanna Moon Andrews of Pine Grove, Sharon Lehman wife of Glenn of Auburn, and Kevin Soellner husband to Denise of Auburn. He is also survived by his step-grandchildren; Rayman III, Erika, Justice, Chase, Cara, and Cole.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27th at 12:00 Noon at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will follow on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Ricky G. Walsh, 67, of Malones Road, Ashland, passed away Monday, May 19, 2015, at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community, Shenandoah. Born in Butler Township, he was the son of the late Raymond and Hazel (George) Walsh. He attended North Schuylkill High School, and was employed as a frame builder for the Sealy Mattress Company, Delano, until his retirement. Ricky was a member of Christ’s United Lutheran Church, Airport Road, Ashland.
