Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the death of a dog found with apparent gunshot wounds along a walking trail in a wooded area off Fountain Road in Frailey Township.
According to authorities, troopers responded to the scene around 1:31 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2025, after a report was made regarding a deceased canine. Upon arrival, officers located the animal, which appeared to have sustained injuries consistent with being shot.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. Authorities are working to determine who the dog belonged to and the events that led to its death.
