Frackville Police Host "Picnic in the Park" Community Event at Memorial Park

The Frackville Police Department welcomed more than 100 residents to Memorial Park on Sunday for their "Picnic in the Park" event, designed to build stronger relationships between local law enforcement and the community they serve.

Families gathered at the park for an afternoon filled with food, fun, and friendly conversation with officers. The event featured complimentary lunches, with hot dogs provided by Berks Foods and pierogies from Mrs. T's Pierogies. Snacks were donated by Herr’s, and cold beverages were supplied by the Wegmans Distribution Center. Guests also cooled off with sweet treats from Chill Out Ice Cream Parlor & Snack Shop.

Children enjoyed a variety of games and activities, including face painting and temporary tattoos courtesy of Cryptic Arts Studio. One lucky young attendee even won a brand-new bicycle, donated by Guardian Bikes.

Live musical entertainment was provided by Nick Chikotas.

Frackville police officers spent the afternoon mingling with families, answering questions, and engaging in positive, informal conversations with residents of all ages.

The Frackville Police Department expressed gratitude to the many local businesses and organizations whose generous donations made the day possible.
