Pete Humanick, 71, of Locust Valley, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 29, at his residence.Born on March 26, 1954, in Coaldale, PA, he was the son of the late Adele (Zelonis) and Peter Humanick.
Pete was a member of the former St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church as well as St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, both located in Mahanoy City. He proudly graduated from Mahanoy Area High School in 1972.
Pete retired from Koppy's Propane. He was a member of the Mahanoy City Social Club. He had a deep passion for the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was also a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Pete is survived by his daughter Jessica, wife of John Murphy, of Schuylkill Haven; two sons, Justin of Schuylkill Haven and Jacob of Northumberland; and a brother, Stephen, husband of Cindy, from Bruceton Mills, West Virginia. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Grace Murphy, along with several nieces and nephews.
An Office of Christian Burial and Divine Liturgy will take place at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahanoy City on Monday, June 9, at 11 AM, with Rev. James Carroll officiating.
Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, June 9, from 10 to 11 AM at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church.

Carol Lee LaBelle (Berger) Beccaria, 91, originally of Cressona, passed away peacefully on May 27,2025 in Scottsdale, Arizona, surrounded by her family.Born in Pine Grove on April 18, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Weiss) and Charles M. Culbert.
Carol Lee was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert L. Berger, who passed away in 1994.They were married 41 years.
She is also preceded in death by her second husband, the late George Beccaria, who passed away in 2022 after sharing 23 years of marriage together.
Carol Lee graduated from Cressona High School in 1952.
Carol Lee was the ultimate homemaker while raising her children and later helping with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also worked at Bergers Store in Cressona, her family-owned grocery store for many years.
Carol Lee was a member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, Cressona; Goodwill Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary; Cressona American Legion Post 286; and was a past Matron of the Cressona Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Carol Lee loved spending time with her family and traveling. She enjoyed an occasional trip to the Casino and weekly card playing with friends. Carol Lee enjoyed gardening and sharing the bounty with friends and family, also making zucchini bread and jelly. Carol Lee enjoyed fishing and boating, usually besting her fishing partner.
She is survived by a son, Todd Berger, husband of Laura, of Ashaway, RI; a daughter, Terri Lynn, wife of Edward C. Keyworth III, of Orwigsburg; and a daughter-in-law, Michele, wife of Scott MacKenzie, of Collegeville, PA. She is also survived by grandchildren: Samantha Clark, Nicole Berger-Burns, Ashley Bielicki, Courtney Keyworth, Lauren, Sydney, and Dawson Beccaria, Cadon MacKenzie; and great grandchildren: Blakely and Stassia Bielicki, and Melody Burns.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 on June 14, 2025 at Ebling Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona. A visitation will be held from 10:00 until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Cressona Cemetery.

Judith Ann Meisner, 77, of Lansdale, passed away Tuesday, May 27th, at St. Mary Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare, Lansdale.
Judy was born in Pottsville on March 4, 1948, a daughter of the late Ruth Ann (Philips) Meisner and Harold L. Meisner, Sr.
Judy is also preceded in death by her sister, Ellen S. Murphy, brother, Harold L. Meisner, Jr.
She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and Kutztown University.
Judy was employed as a library science teacher for 35 years.
She is survived by her siblings: Nancy J. Becker, widow of Paul, Schuylkill Haven, Ruth Ann Neal & husband, Michael, Virginia, & Jane L. Meisner, Schuylkill Haven, and several nieces & nephews.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of family.

Jenny was born in Dumfries, Scotland on March 23, 1926, a daughter of the late John & Janet (Radcliff) Gilfillan.
Married 70 years, she was the widow of Sydney S. Ruch. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Daniel McSweeney.
In addition to working as a pharmacist’s assistant, and a seamstress, Jenny was a homemaker most of her life.
She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven. Jenny also belonged to the Schuylkill Haven Senior Citizens, and Craft Class.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Bubb, wife of Larry, Florida, & Fiona Jacoby, wife of Scott, Schuylkill Haven, her grandchildren: Brian, husband of Kelly, NC, Laura, wife of Jeffrey, Auburn, Philip, Iowa, Steven, husband of Tara, Minnesota & Colleen, wife of James, Minneapolis, and her great-grandchildren: Brandon, Ryan, & Anna Schaeffer, Tyler & Connor Jacoby, Maxwell, Samuel, & Emmett Bubb, Cooper & Miles Anderson, and Elizabeth, Charles & Harrison Bubb.
A private graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience.

Ellen Kemmerer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, 78 years of age, of West Spruce Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at home surrounded by the enduring love of her family.
Born Sunday, January 19, 1947 in Orange Texas the daughter of the late George L. and Harriet C. (Heath) Kerr. Ellen was also predeceased by sister, Beth Ann Rehrig.Surviving are; her devoted husband of 57 years, James B. Kemmerer; son, James B. Kemmerer Jr. and wife Alisa; daughters, Carla Davis and husband Chuck, Sharon Munsch and husband Chris, Krista Pratt and partner Phil Krell, Alyssa Palermo and husband Guido; sister, Linda Cara and husband Tom; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. Ellen also had many nieces and nephews.
A 1964 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Ellen matriculated to Goldey-Beacon College. Ellen worked in the medical field prior to raising her family and, once raising her children, waitressed at Leiby's and Romano’s restaurants. A member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua, Ellen volunteered at St. Jerome Regional School. Ellen enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping with her girls and grandkids, and reading. She also loved being outdoors, walking throughout Tamaqua or at Mauch Chunk Lake, hiking the Switchback and Appalachian Trails, and visits to the beach with family and friends. She will be remembered as a kind soul who always had a smile on her face.

He born May 4, 1929 in Pottsville a son of the late Anthony J. Sr, and Elizabeth M. Schargo Kochol.
He was a 1947 graduate of Pottsville High School.
He was an army veteran having served during the Korean War.
Prior to retiring he worked for Aetna Steel and was a self-employed contractor.
Tony was a devout member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.
He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Fanelli Kochol on August 30, 2017; a brother, Joseph Kochol; a sister Rosalie Imschweiler;
Surviving are his daughter, Lucilla Kochol, Pottsville; a sister, Mary Anna Hazok; Pine Grove; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11AM from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville with Rev. Kevin J. Bobbin as celebrant. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10AM until the time of Mass. Interment with military honors follow in St. John No. 2 Cemetery, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Tony's be made to St. John memorial funeral 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. Arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.

Born in Palo Alto, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Heine) and Warren J. Quinn Sr.
Barbara earned her Master's Degree in Social Work, and was a hospice volunteer for 10 years. She loved animals and there was always a dog or cat or two with her during her life. She also very much enjoyed traveling, visiting China, Ireland, Kenya and the Galapagos Islands. Key West and Hawaii, though not as far away, also held a special place in her heart.
Her family gathered from far and wide, to surround and support her during her final days and as she began her next journey.
The family would like to extend their deep and sincere gratitude to the staff at Seton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their extraordinary care and loving support during Barbara's time there.
Barbara is survived by two daughters, Lori (Lickman) Quinn, wife of Dustin M. Smith, of Denver, CO; Lynn Lickman, of Schuylkill Haven; and a son, Quinn Lickman, of Orwigsburg. She is also survived by a sister, Miriam (Quinn) Metaxas; a brother, Warren J. Quinn, Jr.; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Lickman and a son, Ronald H. Lickman.
Service details will be announced at a later date.
