Tuscarora State Park Beach Closed to Swimming Due to Water Resampling Requirements

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) has temporarily closed the beach at Tuscarora State Park in Schuylkill County to swimming, effective Tuesday, due to routine resampling requirements.

The closure is a precautionary measure and will remain in place until water samples return with acceptable results. DCNR did not indicate any confirmed contamination, but the move follows standard protocol to ensure the health and safety of park visitors.

Signs have been posted at the park entrance and throughout the beach area notifying visitors of the closure.

Despite the swimming closure, Tuscarora State Park remains open for other recreational activities. Campgrounds, hiking trails, fishing spots, and picnic areas are all accessible and operating as normal.
