Livestock, Cornhole, and Elvis Highlight Thursday’s Schuylkill County Fair


The Schuylkill County Fair rolls into its fourth day with a full lineup of family-friendly events and entertainment on Thursday, July 31. 

The theme for the day is Friends of the Fair / Livestock Day, sponsored by Signal of Eastern PA.

The fairgrounds open to the public at 11 a.m., welcoming visitors to enjoy exhibits, vendors, and traditional fair food. At 4 p.m., Goodtime Amusements will open the midway and rides, while livestock buyers can begin checking in for the evening’s auction at the Agricultural Arena.

The Tractor Parade begins at 4:30 p.m. at the Main Gate.

At 5 p.m., the 4-H and FFA Livestock Auction and Awards will be held in the Ag Arena, showcasing the hard work of local youth who have spent months raising and preparing their animals for this moment. Simultaneously, cornhole enthusiasts can begin registering for Bob & Brian's Custom Boards Corn Hole Tournament at the track near the Ag Museum.

Possum Patty Hinkel and her "Menagerie in Motion" performance kicks off at 6 p.m.  The Corn Hole Tournament also gets underway at that time.

An equine demonstration is set for 7 p.m. at the Horse Barn.

The day will close with two performances by Jimmy Holmes and The Spin-outs on the Main Stage at 7 and 9 p.m. Holmes, an Elvis tribute artist, brings the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll back to life in a show sponsored by Weiner Iron & Metal Corp. and McNulty Building Supply.

The Schuylkill County Fair runs through Saturday, August 2nd, 2025.
