Betty J. "Sis" Lechleitner, 77, of Tamaqua passed away peacefully July 25, 2025 with her family by her side.
She was the wife of the late Albert J. Lechleitner, who passed away in 2013.
Born February 22, 1948 in Pottsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and June Betty (Martin) Gradwell.
Betty was a member of the Christopher Columbus Italian Club, Tamaqua and the North Ward Social Club of Schuylkill Haven.
She is survived by her daughters: Missy, wife of Douglas Schartel of Tamaqua and Melinda Frehafer also of Tamaqua. 7 Grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
In addition are her brothers: Edward Gradwell; Ray, husband of Vickie Gradwell and Tom, husband of Chris Gradwell and her son in law Edward Heiser.
She was preceded in death by her daughters: Rickann Heiser, Norlina Frehafer, her brother Earl Gradwell and two grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Thursday, July 31st, 2025, from 10-11am at the E. Franklin Griffiths funeral home, 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252.
Funeral Service will be held at 11am from the funeral home.
Interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Born in Coaldale, Rick was a son of the late John and Emma (Stahler) Goho. He attended Tamaqua schools and was employed as a mechanic at Fox Transportation in Hometown for over 20 years. Rick loved classic cars and was well known by friends and family as a jack-of-all-trades that could make whatever was needed to get the job done.
Surviving are his loving wife, Elaine of Walker Township; a son, Shawn Zehner and his fiancé Tanya Romig of Middleport; two daughters, Karen Brode and her husband John of Tamaqua, and Lisa Zehner and her companion Daniel Coccio of Tamaqua; six grandsons, Dilian Zehner, Devon Zehner, Jacob Brode, Nicholas Zehner, Alex Zehner, and Chase Brode; one granddaughter, Merranda Zehner; one great granddaughter Kaylie and a great granddaughter and a great grandson both due in October; one brother, Jack Goho of West Penn Township; one sister, Connie Sheeler of Barnesville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Robert and William Goho; and two sisters, Patricia Evans and Dorothy Frye.

Arrangements are being handled by the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Tamaqua.
Isaac M. “Sonny” Pena, 66, a resident of Pottsville passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 25th, 2025, at Geisinger Danville.
Sonny was born in Pottsville, on April 21,1959, he was the son of the late Manuel and Josephine (DePedro) Pena.
He was a graduate of Nativity BVM High School and Lincoln Tech for electronics. He was of the Catholic faith. Sonny served in the U.S. Navy.
In December, he retired from Tredegar Film Products after 15 years.
He enjoyed rock climbing, skiing, and being with his “psychiatrist” also known as his motorcycle in his early years. In later years, he enjoyed spending time with the family, his grandchildren who called him "Pappy" and his dogs. He was an avid Star Trek fan. He enjoyed sci-fi, history, and astronomy which he loved talking about with his family.
Surviving is his wife of 27 years, Karen (Hoysock) Pena; four children, sons, Brett Shappell (Ami), and Dennis Walters (Megan), daughters, Nicole Shappell, and Olivia Matz (Shawn); eight grandchildren Cody, Dominick, Brittney, Mason, Jacob, Lex, Ares, and Leo; three great-grandchildren Journee, Patrick, and Layla; sisters Maria Fox (Tom), and Isabel Crocker (Ron), several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 30th, at 11:00 AM Church at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market Street, Pottsville, with Father Richard Clement, of St. Patrick’s Church. Friends may call from 9:00 AM till the time of the service.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
