Schuylkill County ‘Rally Against the Regime’ Set for Saturday in St. Clair

A political demonstration titled “Rally Against the Regime” is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 2, at the Coal Creek Commerce Center in St. Clair.

The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is being organized locally by the Schuylkill County Democratic Committee (SCDC) as part of a nationwide protest sponsored by the advocacy group 5050/1.

The event will feature U.S. Congressman Chris Deluzio, who represents Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District, as the keynote speaker. According to organizers, the rally is intended to highlight concerns about democratic governance and political leadership at the national level.

Participants are asked to park in the Lowe’s/Walmart parking lot off Route 61, proceed past the Dunkin’ Donuts, and cross the Red Bridge to reach the rally site. The event will be held along Route 61, behind the concrete barriers.

The demonstration is one of several being held across the country on the same day. The national group behind the effort, 5050/1, describes its mission as advocating for democratic reforms and increased civic engagement.
