On Saturday, athletes took part in the 2nd annual Spartan Charge 5K at North Schuylkill.
The event benefitted the North Schuylkill Cross Country Team.
The event began with a fun run at 9:00am following by the 5K at 9:30am.
The course used part of the North Schuylkill Cross Country Course as well as portions of Cresswell Gardens.
The winner of the race was Randy Hoats from Frackville who finished the course in 18:23. He was also the first male finisher.
The first female finisher was Genevieve Dando who finish at 20:04. She was the third place finisher.
