Pennsylvania State Police: Pellet Gun Fired at Vehicle in New Philadelphia



NEW PHILADELPHIA – The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an incident in which a vehicle carrying two adults and a child was struck by a projectile while traveling through New Philadelphia Borough on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
According to Trooper First Class Ethan M. Brownback, Public Information Officer for Troop L, Troopers responded to the 100 block of Water Street for a disturbance call. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the victim’s vehicle had been hit by a projectile. Following an investigation, troopers determined that Martin Williams had fired a pellet gun at the vehicle as it passed his home.

Inside the vehicle were two adults and a child secured in a car seat. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

Authorities said charges against Williams are forthcoming.
