Barbara A. Barone of Heckscherville passed away Thursday, September 25th on her 69th birthday, with her family by her side.Barbara was a daughter of the late Frank A. & Ann (Horan) Barone.
She was a 1974 graduate of Nativity BVM High School.
Barbara was a member of Holy Family Parish of Minersville, and a member of the former St. Kieran's Parish, Heckscherville.
She had been employed by Ashland State General Hospital, St. Catherine's Hospital, Ashland, and retired from the Schuylkill County Courthouse.
Barbara is survived by three siblings: Donna Lang (Jeff) West West Terrace, Frank Barone (Laurie) Pottsville, & Rita Pfeiffenberger (Paul) Allentown, seven nieces & nephews: Jennifer Lang Cogan, Mary Lang Weist, Amanda Pfeiffenberger Sutjak, Paul Pfeiffenberger, Alex Pfeiffenberger, Tony Barone, & Kimberly Barone O'Brien, several great-nieces & great-nephews, her aunt, Mary Bergen, Wyomissing, and many cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish of Minersville, on Wednesday, October 1st at 11:30am. A Viewing will be held at the church from 9:30 until the time of Mass.Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in Barbara’s name to Holy Family Parish of Minersville, 538 Sunbury St., Minersville PA 17954.

Daniel Murray, age 79, passed away Wednesday, September 24th, 2025.
Born in Pottsville, PA on July 6, 1946, he was the son of the late Morell and Carolyn (Shields) Murray. Also preceded in death by sisters, Marge Painter and Janice Fernando.
Daniel graduated from St. Clair High School, Class of 1964. He joined the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War and had the honor of receiving a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
He worked at the Alcoa Plant before joining the PA State Police, where he served most of his years at the Frackville PA Barracks. After retiring, he drove tractor trailer for Schneider Trucking, Carlisle, PA for many years.
Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf throughout his life. He always enjoyed watching his Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team and Boston Red Sox baseball team.
Daniel is survived by his family, Rita Murray, daughters: Michelle Phillips, wife of Jason, Orwigsburg and Carolyn Ruch, wife of Kurt, Lancaster; sons: Sean Murray husband of Pam, Fountain Springs, PA and Danny Murray fiance, Tanya Woomert, Kaska, PA; ten grandchildren: Mikayla, Lexi, Jocelyn, Jillian, Jake, Kurt, Tyler, Miranda, Brandon, and Libby; brothers: Jackie Murray, Orwigsburg, PA and Billy Murray, St. Clair, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville on Wednesday October 1st at 12:30PM, with Deacon John Setlock officiating. There will be no procession to the cemetery. Family and friends are ask to arrive at the cemetery by 12:15pm.
