Boil Water Advisory Issued in Frackville Following Main Break

Pennsylvania American Water has issued a Boil Water Advisory for customers in the Frackville area after crews responded to a water main break Friday night.
The company first reported a possible service issue around 6:30 p.m. before confirming shortly after 9:00 p.m. that emergency repairs were underway. According to Pennsylvania American Water, the break may cause service interruptions or low water pressure for affected customers.

Repairs began around 9:10 p.m. Friday with an estimated completion time of 10:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27th, 2025.

As a precaution, residents are advised to boil water intended for drinking, cooking, or food preparation. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before use. The company stated that water remains safe for bathing, washing, and other common household uses.

“We recognize the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate our customers’ patience as crews work to restore full service,” Pennsylvania American Water noted in its advisory update late Friday evening.

Customers can stay updated by checking the company’s Customer Advisory Map or contacting customer service for further information. The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until testing confirms the water is safe to drink.
