The event is part of the 2025-26 promotional schedule unveiled this week, highlighting themed games and special celebrations throughout the season. Schuylkill County Day will recognize and honor Penn State fans, alumni, and community members from Schuylkill County, giving them an opportunity to be celebrated in Happy Valley. Head Coach Mike Rhoades is also a Mahanoy City native.
The game is one of 15 home contests scheduled at the Bryce Jordan Center this season under third-year head coach Mike Rhoades. Fans attending Schuylkill County Day can expect themed promotions and activities spotlighting the region, in addition to what promises to be a marquee Big Ten matchup against the Spartans.
Single-game tickets for all Bryce Jordan Center home games, including the Dec. 13 Schuylkill County Day matchup, are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Special details about ticket group offers and Schuylkill County Day promotions are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Other highlights of the Nittany Lions’ promotional schedule include Military Appreciation Night (Nov. 11 vs. Navy), the Bryce Jordan Center 30th Anniversary Celebration (Jan. 6 vs. Michigan), and the THON Game (Feb. 8 vs. USC). The season also features a special White Out at The Palestra (Jan. 3 vs. Illinois) and the return of the fan-favorite Return to Rec game (Jan. 22 vs. Wisconsin).
