Schuylkill League Volleyball Playoffs Set for Championship Thursday at Martz Hall

The Schuylkill League Volleyball Playoffs tipped off this week as teams battle for the 2025 league crown.

Quarterfinals – Monday, October 13 at Minersville

The action began Monday night in Minersville, where Blue Mountain and Pottsville each earned convincing wins to punch their tickets to the semifinals.

  • Blue Mountain 3, Marian Catholic 0 – The Eagles rolled past Marian Catholic in straight sets.

  • Pottsville 3, Nativity 0 – The Crimson Tide followed with a sweep of Nativity.

Semifinals – Tuesday, October 14 at Martz Hall

Tuesday’s semifinals featured hard-fought matches, each decided in four sets, as Panther Valley and Tri-Valley emerged victorious.

  • Panther Valley 3, Blue Mountain 1 (25-23, 22-25, 25-15, 25-20)
    The Panthers and Eagles traded the opening two sets before Panther Valley pulled away in the third and sealed the match in the fourth to secure their spot in the title game.

  • Tri-Valley 3, Pottsville 1 (25-23, 13-25, 27-25, 26-24)
    Tri-Valley edged Pottsville in a pair of tight sets, including an 27-25 third set and a 26-24 closer, to book their trip to the championship.

Championship – Thursday, October 16 at Martz Hall

The winners of Tuesday’s semifinal matchups will face off for the Schuylkill League Volleyball Championship on Thursday evening at historic Martz Hall in Pottsville at 7pm.
