Schuylkill Technology Center’s (STC) Adult Practical Nursing Program has announced a major achievement, reporting a 95% pass rate on the 2024-2025 National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).
Of the 24 students who graduated from the program, 23 are now employed in the nursing field, with one graduate not responding to follow-up.
The NCLEX-PN is a required exam for nursing school graduates in Pennsylvania, serving as the gateway to licensure and entry into the profession. A passing score is essential for nurses to practice in the state.
STC’s Adult Practical Nursing Program, located at the North Campus in Frackville, offers part-time day and evening classes for adult learners. Students gain hands-on experience through clinical rotations with several regional healthcare partners, including Aveanna Pediatric Home Health, Broad Mountain Nursing Home, Devita Dialysis, Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Lehigh Valley Health Network Schuylkill, St. Luke’s Miners Hospital, and others.
Program Coordinator Kimberly O’Neill praised the continued success, noting,
“We at STC are incredibly proud to celebrate four consecutive years of outstanding NCLEX pass rates. This consistent achievement reflects the dedication of our students and faculty to academic excellence and clinical readiness. Our graduates continue to enter the nursing profession fully prepared to meet the demands of today’s healthcare setting with confidence and competence.”
Applications are now being accepted for the next class, scheduled to begin in March 2026. For more information, prospective students can call (570) 874-1412 or visit adult.stcenters.org
