Robert W. Ludwig, 68, of Tower City, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Hershey Medical Center following a brief battle with cancer.Bob was born in Lykens on Sunday, October 13 1957, a son of the late William and Ruth Horn Ludwig.
He was a 1975 graduate of Williams Valley High School.
Bob began working as a sophomore in high school with the former J.H. Deiter and Sons, Tower City where he continued to work for over 32 years. He then went onto work for Hlavaty Plumbing and Heating for 15 years. He was currently employed by Tevis Energy. Bob was skilled in the maintenance field and could fix anything that was asked of him.
He enjoyed attending many different churches throughout the area, always willing to appreciate everyone's Christian beliefs. He could often be found attending the Twin Valley Alliance Church and the Christ United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed the simple things in life and would always go out of his way to have a conversation with a friend or a stranger. Bob will be remembered for always being fashionably late no matter where he was going. He looked forward to attending public auctions and was always seen with his beloved dog, Merman.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Ludwig.
Surviving are his brother, Richard Ludwig and his wife Norma, Tower City; his nephew he thought the world of, Richard Ludwig, Jr. and his wife Valerie, Jonestown; his sister, Beverly Barley and her husband Pete, Hershey; a niece and two additional nephews; Bob is also survived by his best friend, Rodney Koppenhaver and his wife Deb, Tower City.
A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 5:00 pm from the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. A visitation will be from 4-5 at the church. Immediately following the service a dinner and time of fellowship will follow in the church social hall.
