
Portions of Pottsville are without water Monday morning following a significant water main break near the Roller Roost, close to the Pottsville City–Norwegian Township line.
According to early reports, the break has caused widespread service interruptions throughout the west end of the city, including at Pottsville Area School District buildings.
Andy Wollyung, Pottsville's Director of Public Safety, has stated that the fire department has been notified as the incident impact's the city's hydrant system.
The full impact on residential and commercial customers is still being assessed. Residents in affected areas may experience low pressure, no water, or discoloration as crews work to stabilize the system.
