One of the league’s most celebrated traditions is back for its second straight year as the Schuylkill League Boys’ Soccer Senior Game kicks off this Sunday, November 23rd, 2025, at 6 p.m. under the lights at Schuylkill Haven’s Rotary Field.
A total of 55 senior players from across the county will take part, with 29 Division 1 seniors squaring off against 26 Division 2 seniors in a final showcase to end the fall soccer season.

This year’s Senior Game features athletes representing:
Division 1 Schools
- Blue Mountain
- Lourdes Regional
- North Schuylkill
- Pine Grove
- Pottsville
Division 2 Schools
- Minersville
- Schuylkill Haven
- Shenandoah Valley
- Williams Valley
- Tri-Valley
- Weatherly
Because their teams won their respective divisions, two coaches have earned the honor of leading the Senior Game squads:
- Chris Brauer, Blue Mountain — Division 1 Head Coach
- Ed Burke, Minersville — Division 2 Head Coach
Both coaches guided their programs to division titles this fall and will now lead the top senior players from throughout the league.
The Boys’ Soccer Senior Game was a long-running tradition in the Schuylkill League but had been discontinued for several years. In 2024, the Schuylkill League Boys’ Soccer Coaches Association revived the game as a Grand Finale to the season, an opportunity for seniors to play one last time with and against their peers before graduating.
The event returned with strong enthusiasm and community support, prompting an even larger showing for 2025.
This year’s Senior Game is made possible thanks to several local sponsors, including:

Additional support was provided by participating soccer booster clubs and at least one anonymous sponsor.
League officials encourage the community to come out and cheer on the seniors as they take the field one final time. The match will be played rain, sleet, snow, or shine as the Class of 2025 competes for bragging rights in one final county-wide showdown.
