Across Schuylkill County, every public school district will see a boost.

Tamaqua Area School District will receive one of the largest percentage increases in the county, with a 12.8% bump totaling $1,858,446 in new state funding.

Minersville Area School District will see a 12.2% increase, adding $1,404,599 in support.

Shenandoah Valley School District will receive an 11.3% increase, totaling $1,584,559, while Tri-Valley School District will see a 9.3% increase with $600,873 in additional funding.
Larger districts in the county are also seeing notable dollar increases. Pottsville Area School District will receive the highest single increase in Schuylkill County at $2,034,790, an 8.6% bump in state support. North Schuylkill will see an 8.5% increase, totaling $1,284,110 in new funding.
Even districts with smaller percentage increases are still moving ahead. Schuylkill Haven Area School District, for example, will see a 2.8% increase, adding $256,379 in state dollars, while Blue Mountain and Pine Grove Area will each see increases of just over 5%.
Sen. Argall, whose district includes Schuylkill County as well as parts of Carbon and Luzerne counties, noted that the new funding is part of a broader effort to address school needs across the region. While districts in Carbon and Luzerne counties are also receiving significant boosts, the figures below highlight the impact specifically on Schuylkill County’s schools.
