
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday night at Sam’s Place Lottery and Tobacco in Rush Township.
According to state police at the Frackville barracks, the incident occurred on December 15, 2025, at approximately 8:55 p.m. at the business located at 45 Plaza Drive in Schuylkill County.
Troopers say an unknown white male entered the store and approached the sales clerk, where he brandished a firearm and demanded money from the cash register. After obtaining the cash, the suspect exited the store and fled on foot heading south toward the parking lot.
The suspect is described as a white male wearing a distinctive red and blue flannel jacket, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers. He was also wearing black gloves, a black shiesty, and a black hood pulled up in an apparent attempt to conceal his identity.
No injuries were reported as a result of the robbery.
Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigation Unit at the Frackville station at 570-874-5300. Police say information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
The investigation remains ongoing.
