Knife Threat, Eviction Dispute Leads to Arrest in Lost Creek

A Ringtown man is in Schuylkill County Prison following a disturbance in the Village of Lost Creek that involved alleged threats with a knife, according to police.
Shawn Allen Jessman, 33, of Ringtown, was charged with terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another (M1) and simple assault (M2) stemming from an incident on December 4, 2025.

Jessman was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker and committed to Schuylkill County Prison after being unable to post 10 percent of $25,000 bail.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, police were dispatched at approximately 4:45 p.m. to 488 Mount Olive Boulevard for a reported disturbance. While en route, Schuylkill County Communications advised that the caller, Randy Lawson, reported being threatened with a knife by Jessman, who was reportedly sitting in a vehicle in the driveway.

Police from Shenandoah Borough, Frackville Borough, and Mahanoy Township assisted at the scene.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with Lawson, who stated that his niece, Alyssa Boyer, the legal owner of the mobile home, arrived at the residence with Jessman, her boyfriend, and another unidentified male to serve an eviction notice. Lawson reported that the group was acting aggressively toward him and his juvenile son.

Lawson told police that during a verbal argument over the eviction, Jessman allegedly picked up a green-handled kitchen knife from the front porch, stated “I’ll kill you,” and swung the knife in a slashing motion toward Lawson, who was standing in the doorway. Lawson further reported that Jessman threatened to “blow up” the mobile home with Lawson and his children inside before throwing the knife into the driveway.

Lawson said Jessman and Boyer then fled the scene in a dark-colored Chevrolet Equinox, traveling east on Mount Olive Boulevard, prompting him to call 911.

Police recovered a green-handled kitchen knife with a 5-inch silver blade near the front passenger-side tire of a black pickup truck parked in the driveway.

Shortly afterward, officers located and stopped the Chevrolet Equinox near the William Penn Fire Company on Mount Olive Boulevard. Jessman was taken into custody at the scene.

Police reported that Jessman appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest. While being transported, Jessman allegedly acted erratically and banged on the partition of the patrol vehicle, further displaying signs of impairment.

Jessman claimed that he and Boyer went to the residence to serve an eviction notice and alleged that Lawson came to the door with a shotgun. He also claimed that Lawson had brandished the knife and that he threw it into the driveway to get it away from him.

Jessman was transported to the Shenandoah Borough Police Station for use of the recorded holding facility. After processing, he was released from police custody pending arraignment.

The charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker and Jessman was arraigned on December 8th, 2025 and remains locked up in prison with a preliminary hearing scheduled for December 18th, 2025.
