North Schuylkill Pulls Away Early, Secures 60–47 Road Win at Panther Valley

 


The North Schuylkill Spartans improved to 2-0 on the season Thursday night, using a strong start and balanced scoring attack to defeat Panther Valley, 60–47.

The Spartans built a quick lead, going up 16–5 after the first quarter and extending their advantage to 32–16 by halftime. North Schuylkill continued to control the pace through three quarters, carrying a 46–26 lead into the final frame before Panther Valley made a late push.

Xavier McNally led the Spartans with 16 points, while Jude Maziekas added 15 and Cam Kacilowicz chipped in 12. Also scoring for North Schuylkill were Julian Nelson (7), Caden Mengel (5), Logan Damiter (4), and Max Gallagher (1).

Panther Valley was paced by Danny Wehr with 15 points and Chase McArdle with 10. Rounding out the scoring were Ben Burenavage (6), Jarell Thomas (5), Brody Breiner (3), Cy Maynard (3), and Dorian Revell (2).

North Schuylkill, now 2-0, will travel to Lewisburg on Saturday.

Panther Valley falls to 0-2 and prepares to host Palisades, also on Saturday.
