The North Schuylkill Lady Spartans opened their 2025–26 season in dominant fashion Friday night, defeating Panther Valley 66–24 behind a fast start and a balanced scoring effort.
North Schuylkill came out firing, racing to a 22–6 lead after the first quarter—powered by three early three-pointers from Gianna Capone, who hit three of her four triples in the opening frame.
During the 2nd quarter, the Lady Spartans continued a relentless defense.
By halftime, the Spartans extended their advantage to 48–13, and the defense continued to clamp down.
After three periods, North Schuylkill led 60–16 before closing out the 42-point victory.

With the victory, North Schuylkill begins the season 1–0. The Lady Spartans will look to carry their momentum into Tuesday’s matchup on the road at Pine Grove.
Panther Valley dropped to 0–2 following the loss but quickly rebounded with a 55–21 win over Palisades on Saturday, improving to 1–2. The Lady Panthers will travel to Minersville on Tuesday for their next contest.
