PennDOT has reduced the speed limits on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County due to weather conditions.
As of 2:30pm, Wednesday, winter weather on I-81 has reduced speed limits between the Pine Grove Exit at mile marker 100 to the Pennsylvania/New York border. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 miles per hour. The limitation covers the entire length of the highway through Schuylkill County.
The updated speed limits have been posted in Schuylkill County on variable speed limit signs.
Commercial vehicles should also drive in the right lane only.
