PennDOT has reduced the speed limits on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County due to weather conditions.
As of 9:15pm, Saturday, winter weather on I-81 has reduced speed limits between Interstate 78 interchange in Lebanon County to the Interstate 80 interchange in Luzerne County. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 miles per hour. The limitation covers the entire length of the highway through Schuylkill County.
The updated speed limits have been posted in Schuylkill County on variable speed limit signs.
Commercial vehicles should also drive in the right lane only.
