Devlin was born July 2, 1931 in Reading, Pa., a son of the late Devlin W. Dormer Sr. and Mary (Spadafora) Dormer.
He graduated from Pottsville Area High School, Class of 1950, and attended Penn State University. He was a veteran of the Coast Guard serving during the Korean War. Devlin owned his own business, Dormer Landscaping. He loved his job of being a landscaper and worked until he was 90-years-old.
Devlin was a member of St. Patrick R.C.C., Pottsville.
He was a devoted father, husband and friend. Devlin loved weightlifting, painting nature scenes in watercolors, enjoying time in the sun and sharing stories of days gone by. He was an inspiration to many with his strong work ethic, care for his customers, friendly personality and love of his family and pets.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Phyllis A. Dormer; brother William S. Dormer; sister Mariheln D. Rose; brother-in-law Richard A. Rose Sr.; pets Maggie, Bo, Bailey, Harry, Franco, Lil’ Man, Fluffy and Freddie.
He is survived by his four daughters: Angelique Dormer, Maria Dormer, Christine Dormer and her husband Christopher McQuillen and his son Ben McQuillen, Jacqueline Dormer, pets Eddie, Yogi, Lucy and Cookie, niece Suzanne Weckenman and her husband Robert, nephews Richard A. Rose Jr. and his wife Virginia, and William S. Dormer and his wife Heather, sister-in-law Irene Dormer, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Devlin’s name to Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick R.C.C., Pottsville on Saturday at 11 AM. A visitation will be held at the church from 10 AM until the time of Mass.
Interment will be privately held at the convenience of the family.

Born in 1946 in Klingerstown, he was the son of the late John and Erma Kieffer Rebuck.
He graduated from Tri-Valley High School, Class of 1964, spent four years in the Air Force and many years working in medical office management, retiring to Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Survived by a sister, Joyce Schegel (Vernon), Valley View, a brother, Ned Rebuck (Laurie), Kalispell, MT, nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc., Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
