Schuylkill Winterfest Returns January 17

The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce has announced the return of Schuylkill Winterfest, set for Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Alvernia University Pottsville CollegeTowne.

Billed as “The Coolest Event in Schuylkill County,” Winterfest will once again bring together residents and visitors for a family-friendly afternoon filled with live entertainment, shopping, food, beverages, and interactive winter-themed attractions spread across both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Craft and artisan vendors will be located indoors at Alvernia University Pottsville CollegeTowne, offering a comfortable shopping experience throughout the event. Outdoor areas will feature food trucks, local wineries, kids’ activity zones, and additional attractions, with designated heated areas to help attendees stay warm.

The 2026 Winterfest will include dozens of local vendors, food trucks, wineries, and a Yuengling Beer Garden. Live music by The Zenith will provide entertainment throughout the afternoon, along with several signature attractions and competitions, including:

  • Ice carving demonstration at 1:30 p.m., sponsored by Geisinger
  • Mrs. T’s Pierogy Eating Contest at 2:00 p.m.
  • Boilo Contest at 3:00 p.m.
  • Kids’ play area and other family-friendly activities

Schuylkill Winterfest 2026 is supported by a wide range of local and regional sponsors. Bob Weaver Auto will serve as Mug Sponsor, Explore Schuylkill as Entertainment Sponsor, CACL Financial as Information Center Sponsor, and Geisinger as Ice Carving Demonstration Sponsor. Additional support is provided by Fighter’s Heaven and Quandel Enterprises as Logo Sculpture Sponsors, Prominent Cleaning Solutions as Frozen Throne Sponsor, and supporting sponsors Arrow Studio & Events, Hidden River Credit Union, and Sterman Masser, Inc.

Admission to Schuylkill Winterfest is free, and free parking will be available near the event.
