Lawrence T. “Larry” Burke, 76, of Morea, PA, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, January 2nd, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 18, 1949, in Mahanoy City, PA, Larry was the son of the late Mary Rose Starkey and William Burke.
Larry was a proud graduate of the Mahanoy Area High School class of 1967. He was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Mahanoy City and worked for the former Fiberite in Delano and White Cap in Hazleton. Known affectionately as 'The Buck Master' by his friends, Larry was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Sure Shot Rod & Gun Club. He also enjoyed spending time in his woodshop. He enjoyed NASCAR and attended many races.
Larry was the beloved husband of Mary (Dziadosz) Burke, with whom he shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. He is survived by his daughter, Amber Burke, and her fiancé, Rube Kerns; his brothers, William Burke, husband of Joyce, of Virginia, and Richard Burke, husband of Deborah, of Florida. Larry also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Jacqueline and Shelby, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, January 10th at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Mahanoy City, PA, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating. Friends and family are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, January 9th, and at 8:30 AM on Saturday, January 10th at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. in Mahanoy City, PA.

Carol Ann M. Rhoades, 82, passed away Sunday, January 4th, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville, where she had been a resident.
Carol was born in Pottsville on January 12, 1943, a daughter of the late Leonard & Mary (Sninski) Yenilaitus.
She was the widow of Herbert "Scotty” Rhoades.
Carol was a 1960 graduate of Nativity BVM High School. After graduation, she was employed as assistant manager for Rite Aid and then for assisted manager for Walden Books, Pottsville for years before retirement.
Carol was Neil Diamond’s number one fan. She enjoyed going to the beach, New York, reading and attending concerts.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Zambo, two brothers: Lenny & Gary Yenilaitus, her step-daughter, Jan Wilson, and her fur baby, Koko.
Carol is survived by nieces & nephews.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville.
A private viewing will be held on Saturday, January 10th at Lord Ebling Haus Funeral Home & Crematory, Pottsville from 9:30-10:30 AM.
Grave side service and Interment will immediately follow the viewing at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville August 16, 1940 he was a son of the late Walter and Stella (Katchmarzyk) Kopinetz.
A graduate of Cass Township High School, he went on to receive his associate degree form Penn State University. He later attended the Las Vegas Police Academy.
Michael worked for E,G,& G Defense Contracting, NV; Las Vegas Police Department, where he was a homicide photographer and Quick Plastics, Orwigsburg; For most of his life he was the owner of M.B. Kopinetz & Sons Inc. Forestville where he produced Pallets.
He was of the Catholic Faith. Michael Loved Planting, Metal Detecting to collect coins and arrowheads, Hunting and Fishing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years MaryAnn (Ciesla) Kopinetz on November 15, 2021; a son Michael Kopinetz; 3 Brothers John Kopinetz; Ronald Kopinetz; Robert Kopinetz.
Surviving are Daughter Lisa Dunn and her husband Kevin of Statesville, NC; Son John W. Kopinetz of Pam Springs, CA; Daughter Susan Wagner and her husband Paul of Pottsville; Granddaughters Lauren Dunn-Cardomone and her husband Dan; Brenna Dunn-Finui and her husband Aaron; 1 Brother David Kopinetz and his wife Janet of Forestville; Nieces and Nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday January 10, 2025 at Dutcavich Funeral Home & Cremation Care Inc. 200 Sunbury St. Minersville, PA 17954. Friends may call from Noon-1:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contribution can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl Memphis TN 38105. Burial private at the convenience of the family in St. Stephen Cemetery, Port Carbon.
Born in Primrose, August 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Enoch and Mary (Starzetski) Witcofsky.
Dot was a proud graduate of Cass Township High School, Class of 1957; at which their football team, the Condors, were undefeated, untied, and unscored upon that season.
She attended the Pottsville School of Nursing and was active in her children’s lives as a cheerleading advisor, volleyball coach, class trip chaperone; chauffer or whatever else her children volunteered her to be.
She later went on to be a partner in Llewellyn’s Service Center, Lavelle before working at Hollander Home Fashions, Frackville and North Schuylkill High School
She was of the Catholic faith and was a long time parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic church of Frackville.
Dot loved spending time with her family and traveling. She enjoyed time spent at Moon Lake (Formerly Bury’s Grove) at her sister Helen’s cabin; traveling to all 50 states, as well as abroad
In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her infant daughter Denise in 1960; brothers Edward, John and William “Racker” Witcofsky; sisters Martha Feryo; Helen Tobin and Mary “Betty” Coleman; son-in-law Daniel Klauger.
Surviving are her children Jo-Anne Klauger of Allentown; Annette VanSickle and her husband David of Denver CO; Elaine Mickatavage and her husband Brian of Ashland; Todd Llewellyn and his wife Kelly Miller of Merritt Island, FL; grandchildren Jared and Megan Llewellyn; Julia and Noah VanSickle; Dustin Koppenhaver and his wife Autumn; great grandson Hudson; many nieces an nephews.
A celebration of life for Dorothy “Dot” Llewellyn will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 12pm – 4pm at South Cass Fire Company hall, 14 Water Ln. Pottsville PA 17901.
This will not be a goodbye, but a moment to gather, remember and honor the life of a woman who worked hard, loved life and loved deeply.

Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital he was the son of the late Paul and Anna (Yakubonis) Kalce and attended Mahanoy Area High School, He was employed as a mechanic for Schuylkill Transportation System and was previously the owner of Paul D. Kalce Coal Delivery. He loved classic cars and often participated in car shows and also enjoyed playing guitar.
He was a life member of the Citizens Fire Company # 2 and Mahanoy City EMS as well as the Schuylkill County Fire Historical Society. An avid outdoorsman he loved hunting and fishing and belonged to the Bears Head Sportsman Association, Shenandoah Fish and Game, and a life member of the Park Crest Fish and Game.
He is survived by a brother Randy and his wife Kathy of Sugarloaf, 2 sisters Nancy Haberman of California and Joanne Cunningham and her husband Paul of Maryland, a nephew Andrew Kalce and his wife Sheila of Sugarloaf a niece Amanda Kovalewski and her husband Chris of Ringtown,and many other nieces, nephews and cousins and his closest friends Bonnie, Danny and Bill.
Relatives and friends are invited to call and visit with the family on Saturday January 10th from 11 AM until 1 PM at David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Pauly's name to any of the clubs or organizations listed would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation.
N. Kathryn Otto, age 90 of Hegins, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at her residence.
She was born on March 9, 1935, in Hegins, a daughter of the late Reuben Schwartz and the late Eva Schwartz.
Kathryn was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High and than received her Degree in Education from West Chester University.
She was an elementary school teacher in the Upper Dauphin and Tri-Valley School Districts. Kathryn also was a reporter for the Citizen Standard.
She was a former Hegins Twp Supervisor, a member of the planning committee for the Schuylkill County Wine Festival and the Hegins Valley Arts and Crafts Fair. An active member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens, and a member of the Hegins Area Ambulance Association.
She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins.
Her husband John "Jack"Otto passed away in 2006. She was also preceded in death by a son, Peter Otto; a brother, Marlin Schwartz; and a sister, Ruby Maurer.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Carlee (Cori Ebersole) Otto of Carlisle; a great granddaughter, Paislee Ebersole; and a nephew, Gary (Deb) Maurer of Allentown.
Services will be held at Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Lee Diefenderfer officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church.
Private burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.

In addition to her parents, Lydia was preceded in death by her husband, James Lockhart, and her brother, John Bednarik.
She is survived by second cousins.

Michael was born in Saint Clair on February 13, 1940, a son of the late Michael & Marie Cecelia (Pouchan) Uhrin.
Married nearly 50 years, he was the widower of Joan Y. (Stickloon) Uhrin.
Mike was a Saint Clair High School graduate, and had served in the U.S. Marines as a PFC.
He worked as a self-employed contractor, as well as job supervisor for Middletown School District.
Mike is survived by daughter, Cathy Woznicki, fiancé of Rodney, Pine Grove, three granddaughters: Melissa Jenkins, wife of Jason, Elizabeth Krisa, wife of Michael, & Theresa Woznicki, great-grandchildren: Jocelyn, Alexa, Owen, Elijah, Logan, Tyson, & Sonya, and several nieces & nephews.

Lydia Lockhart, 93, of Poland, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Masternick Memorial Nursing Home in Middletown, Ohio. She was born in St. Clair on March 20, 1932. Lydia was the daughter of the late John Bednarik and Ann (Marcenik) Bednarik.
Lydia was of the Protestant faith. She worked as a supervisor at Ohio Bell in Youngstown, Ohio, from where she retired.
In addition to her parents, Lydia was preceded in death by her husband, James Lockhart, and her brother, John Bednarik.
