---------------------------------------------------Lynnette M. Andreas, 60, of Tamaqua, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at her residence. She was a daughter of Joyce (Stein) Andreas and the late Wayne J. Andreas.
Lynnette was a devoted mother, a friendly neighbor, and a caring, supportive presence to all who knew her. She was always eager to help others and took great joy in caring for those around her. Known as a wonderful cook, Lynnette often prepared more food than necessary, making sure no one ever left hungry. She also had a deep love for animals and enjoyed caring for them.
Lynette is survived by two sons, Justin Andreas of Tamaqua and Dylan Matsago and his fiancé Ariana Ayala-Soto of Tampa, Florida; a sister, Annette Morris and her husband Frank, Jr. of Tamaqua; a brother, Neil Andreas and his wife Christine of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in Lynette’s memory may be made to Hillside SPCA, 51 SPCA Road, PO Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Marlene (Kleckner) Parfitt. Jean Ann was a member of the former St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where she also was a member of the Holy Rosary Society.
She is survived by her two brothers, Harry Parfitt of Gordon and Charles Marquardt of Girardville, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31st, at 10:30 a.m. at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, 403 W. Main St., Girardville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday morning at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Catholic Cemetery, Englewood section of Frackville.

Joan N Snyder, 93 of Gordon passed away on Monday, Jan. 19, 2025 at Providence Place Senior Living of Pottsville following a lengthy illness.
Born in Bowmans Patch, Mahanoy City, she was the daughter of Clarence and Florence Johnson Bailey. She spent her childhood and teen years in Frackville where she attended Frackville High School. In 1952 she married the love of her life, Howard Snyder, and moved to Gordon to raise their family. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary prior to his death in 2022.
Joan will be remembered as a dedicated wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible. She and Howard enjoyed traveling and camping and returned every year to Canada and/or New York for boating and fishing. They loved country music and never missed a chance to see their favorite artists in live performances. They were able to travel extensively across the United States visiting the National Parks and Monuments, scenic bridges, railways, roadways, and attractions. Ultimately they visited 39 of the 48 contiguous states.
Joan is survived by her daughters,

and Lynn, wife of Danny Grove, York;

Regina, wife of Michael Shellenberger, Lititz, Pa
Andrea, wife of Aaron Ebling, Wernersville, Pa
Derek Grove, Ashburn, Va.
and Devin Grove and his wife Hunter, of Denver, Co.;
Great-grandchildren,
Anthony and Alina Ebling, Heidi and Cohen Shellenberger;
Sister, Florence Kehler;
and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Howard Snyder;

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on February 2 at 11 AM in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St, Ashland. Officiating will be Pastor Susan Hocking, of the Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon. Visitation in the funeral home will begin at 10 AM until service. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs, Pa. immediately following.
