Death Investigated After Man Found Deceased Outside the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office

Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville provided a report after an investigation into  the death of a man who was found deceased Wednesday outside the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office.
According to State Police, troopers were dispatched on Wednesday, January 22, 2026, to 15 Alliance Street in New Philadelphia, the location of the Simon Cramer Institute and the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office, for a report of a deceased male inside a vehicle.

Through an investigation, State Police determined that a 58-year-old male from York, Pennsylvania, died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The incident was investigated by Pennsylvania State Police and the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office.
