Schuylkill Transportation System Announces Fixed Route Service Changes Effective February 2


Schuylkill County - Schuylkill Transportation System (S.T.S.) has announced several service changes to its fixed bus routes that will take effect on Monday, February 2, 2026. The updates include schedule adjustments, new stops, discontinued stops, and route order changes across multiple routes.

Route 10 – Shenandoah

Several updates are planned for Route 10:

  • The 6:30 a.m. outbound bus from Union Station will now depart at 6:00 a.m. This adjustment allows the inbound bus from Shenandoah to depart at 7:00 a.m.
  • The Big Lots request stop has been discontinued.
  • A new bus stop has been added at ID Logistics, 71 Mall Road (employee entrance). This stop will be serviced every hour.
  • A new bus stop has also been added at McDonald’s in Frackville, near the entrance to the parking lot by the bus stop sign. This stop will be serviced every hour.
  • All bus stops along Altamont Boulevard in Frackville are now request stops.
  • Boyer’s Market in Shenandoah will not be serviced until further notice due to a collapsed culvert in the parking lot.

Route 30 – Schuylkill Haven

Route 30 will see two additional trips added:

  • A 9:00 a.m. outbound bus from Union Station to Schuylkill Haven.
  • A 9:25 a.m. inbound bus from Schuylkill Haven (Redner’s) to Union Station.

Route 100 – Pottsville Loop

Adjustments have been made to the order of stops along the Pottsville Loop, which will now include:

  • Geisinger (Terry Reiley Way)
  • Alvernia – CollegeTowne
  • North Centre Street near the railroad
  • Queen of Peace Apartments (Water & Prospect Streets)
  • City Mall (North Centre Street at Laurel Boulevard)

Additional changes on Route 100 include:

  • The VA Clinic is now a request stop.
  • LVHN Schuylkill Medical Mall, located at 700 Schuylkill Manor Road, has been added as a request stop.

S.T.S. advises riders to review these changes ahead of time to avoid disruptions to their travel plans.
